BATTLE STYLE (clarifications) :

Astaroth's experience with channeling energy gives him the ability to channel pure energy into a whip-like weapon or, alternatively, a sword (think lightsabers or Kuwabara's Spirit Sword). But, to use these things, his hands must remain close to him or he loses his focus.

When he's running low on power, he also can resort to melee style fighting (kicks, punches, etc), though he has a tendency to be somewhat clumsy and unskilled when it comes to this kind of fighting. It does allow him to stretch his hands further from his body, however, but not infinitely. He is also substantially weaker when he fights this way.

I realized that I've never really given much backstory on Astaroth before. D; Why not, I sez.

Astaroth's personality is predominantly rude and sarcastic. He won't pass up any opportunity for a snarky comment, and likes being in charge (even though he hates his job as god, hmmm does not compute). If he still has a heart in there somewhere, he's got it on mute 24/7.

One of his biggest pet peeves is taking orders. As such, a lot of what he does is in direct disobedience to his advisors, appointed to help him rule by the previous Astaroth: he wears a business suit from the human world rather than the traditional robes of the Lords, he trusts management of the demon-human relations in the human world to humans rather than demons embedded in society, he leaves his desk for long unannounced smoke breaks at the waterfall, he resisted marriage for a long time before having "a lapse of sanity" and marrying JJ, he sometimes has female "visitors" in his chambers while working (he usually makes it just long enough for one of his advisors to walk in on it and be mortified), etc. The only orders he's ever really followed were that of his father, who groomed his son to be the next Astaroth, as he had failed years before. He regrets it every day.

The reason he doesn't have arms? Before he was appointed Astaroth, he ... well, we could call it a freak accident. To save his life, both his arms had to be removed. With training from a specialist, he learned to channel energy into an external stream much like an appendage to help him function through the rest of his testing and studying. With the addition of the third eye once he was elected Astaroth, he found he was able to run that ability on auto-pilot, more or less, and thus he has "arms". He doesn't like being seen shirtless, though; he doesn't even like seeing himself that way, because he hates remembering that he made such a huge mistake.

Annnddd the third eye. It's basically just proof that he's Astaroth, highest Lord of Lords, God, etc. It gives him powers beyond that of his own, but it's more for specific techniques like seeing everywhere at once and teleportation across dimensions than raw power to be expended in battle.
